Carlene Jamerson
President and CEO
With more than 25 years of nursing and administrative experience, Carlene Jamerson assumed the role of president and CEO of Gordon Hospital in 2000.
Under her leadership, the hospital completed its largest expansion and renovation project to date when a new, four-story, patient tower opened in November 2004. Also during 2004, she oversaw the re-branding of Gordon Hospital's image to reflect a new, modern Dove logo and tagline that depicts the hospital's spiritual emphasis. Most recently, she oversaw the addition of a new 17,000 square foot Emergency Center located on the back of the hospital.
Prior to joining Gordon Hospital, she was Chief Nursing Officer and Skilled Nursing Administrator for Chattanooga's Parkridge Medical Center, Valley Psychiatric Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility.
Jamerson has the distinction of being selected as the first "Nursing Alumnus of the Year" by Southern Adventist University. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and an active member of the Calhoun Rotary Club.
She and husband, Gary, have two children, Jeremy (wife Susie) and Julie.
Sam Huenergardt
Senior Vice President
Sam Huenergardt joined the Gordon Hospital team in 2005 and has helped to strengthen the financial position of Gordon Hospital by opening more managed care relationships and focusing on productivity. Prior to joining Gordon Hospital, Huenergardt served as Controller at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, a 383-bed hospital with more than 700 physicians. He has been employed by Adventist Health System since 1999.
Huenergardt oversees many of the ancillary and support departments as well as the hospital owned physician practices.
An avid golfer, Huenergardt and his wife, Melissa, are the proud parents of son, Christian.
Amy Jordon
Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Nursing
Amy Jordon, MSN, RN, CPHQ, CPHRM, is chief nursing officer/vice president of nursing. Jordon has nearly 20 years of experience with Gordon Hospital.
Her role includes oversight of all nursing areas, including house supervisors and the Education Department. Most recently, Jordon served as director of Gordon Hospital's new Progressive Care and Clinical Decisions unit. She played a key role in the planning, development, and opening of the new unit in December 2005.
Prior to that position, Jordon served Hamilton Health Care System as director of Risk Management. She also has experience as director of Quality Management, case manager, nursing supervisor, and charge nurse at Gordon Hospital. She holds a master's degree in nursing health systems leadership from the State University of West Georgia.
Jordon and husband, David, have three teenagers, Ansley, Ben and Caleb.
Cory Reeves
Chief Financial Officer
Cory Reeves joined the Gordon Hospital family in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer.
A graduate of Southern Adventist University, Reeves holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He completed his MBA degree with honors at Webster University in 2006. Prior to joining Gordon Hospital, Reeves was director of Accounting at Florida Hospital System, where he has worked in several financial capacities. Reeves’ background also includes a year of missionary work in Micronesia where he worked as teacher and vice-principal at a Seventh-day Adventist school.
In his spare time, Reeves enjoys Bible study, biking, hiking, the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife, Amanda, have a son, Noah, and reside in Calhoun.
Jeni Hasselbrack
Director, Human Resources
Hasselbrack began her career at Gordon Hospital in 2005. As director of Human Resources, Hasselbrack manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and the more than 600 employees that it serves. In addition, she oversees employee benefits and other employee related programs.
A graduate of Southern Adventist University, Hasselbrack received a bachelor's degree in English and completed a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in management. Prior to serving as director, she held the position of Employee Recruiter.
A native of St. Helena, California in the Napa Valley, Hasselbrack enjoys working out, reading, spending time with friends and participating in church activities. She resides in Calhoun.
