Welcoming Your New Baby

You’re having a baby. You’ve thought of every detail. Picked the right physician. Even decorated the nursery. Now, like more than 600 expectant North Georgia mothers every year, you’re about to discover why Gordon Hospital’s The Baby Place is the very best place to welcome your new baby into the world.

Expectation and New Life

Whether this is your first pregnancy or your third, it is a time of “New Beginnings.” The birth of your baby is one of the most exciting events in your life and a moment that you will always cherish and remember. The Baby Place at Gordon Hospital is designed to accommodate every aspect of your childbirth experience. Our private suites envelop you and your new baby in homelike comfort from labor and delivery through postpartum and recovery. Our staff of nurses and physicians are all trained to help you — no matter what your needs.

Before Your Big Day

At The Baby Place, we believe in education. We want all of our expectant families to feel comfortable and know what to expect before, during and after the arrival of the new baby. We encourage soon-to-be-parents — and expectant brothers and sisters, too — to take part in our hospital orientation tour for expectant parents. We also offer childbirth classes during pregnancy.

Your Childbirth Experience

The Baby Place accommodates you with a beautiful private suite and a private waiting area for your family and friends. Moms receive assistance through every step of birth. In addition, you and your baby will be assigned a team of nurses that, along with your physician, will care for you throughout your stay.

Your Baby’s Needs

The Baby Place offers special newborn hearing screenings and other services to ensure that your baby gets off to a great start in life.
