Gordon Hospital Marketing and Public Relations Department Wins 2 National Awards

6/23/2009

Gordon Hospital’s Marketing and Public Relations department was recently honored with two national medical marketing awards, called Aster Awards. The department won a gold award in the category of Brochure Advertising for its entry: 2008 Prayer Breakfast Program: He Is Faithful and a silver award for its entry Think HDTV is Cool? in the single newspaper category. This is the fourth year in a row that Gordon Hospital has been recognized for their work.

The Aster Awards, one of the largest competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc. This elite national program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts.

The 2009 Aster Awards consisted of thousands entries from across America. Participant’s entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their category. Judging criteria includes creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

“This is a tremendous honor,” says Kim Brazell, director of marketing and public relations for Gordon Hospital. “It is nice to have the country’s most creative individuals recognize the work of our department. I hope that we can continue creating marketing collateral that helps our community better understand our services and our commitment to our mission.”

Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of healthcare marketing experts.  All winners are posted on the Aster Awards’ website (www.asterawards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
