Gordon and Murray EMS employees attended the 2016 Northwest Georgia EMS Banquet.

Gordon EMS, a service of Gordon Hospital, was recognized during the 2016 Northwest Georgia EMS Awards Banquet held last month at The Forum in Rome, Georgia.

Terry Mobbs was recognized with the EMT of the Year Award. Chanda Gravitt was recognized with the Danny Hall Memorial Paramedic of the Year Award. Gordon EMS Director Courtney Taylor was recognized with the Stanley G. Payne Memorial EMS Leadership Award.

The banquet is held each year to honor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers and stakeholders from Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker and Whitfield Counties for excellence in pre-hospital care, education, pioneering and special achievements.

Region I EMS is a government agency responsible for overseeing ambulance and medical first responder operations in a 16-county region and is part of the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.
