Gordon Hospital and Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance Sign Contract

(Calhoun, Ga)—Gordon Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, and Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance are pleased to announce the signing of a new contract that adds Gordon Hospital to the Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance Network. The agreement becomes effective July 1, 2007. This announcement will affect approximately 8,000 -10,000 individuals who are currently covered by Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance.

“We are so pleased to make this announcement. Both parties have worked diligently over many months to make this happen,” says Carlene Jamerson, president and CEO of Gordon Hospital.

Alliant Health Plans President and CEO Jeff Myers agrees. “We are very proud of the relationship we have developed with Gordon Hospital,” says Myers. “We have looked forward to this partnership for quite some time.”

Gordon Hospital and Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance ceased doing business together in late 2004 over contract differences. Now, after months of in-depth negotiations the two parties are ready to move forward with a new focus.
In fact, Gordon Hospital’s own employees will soon be able to access an extended group of local providers through the Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance network.  “It is a new day,” says Myers. “We are looking toward the future with much anticipation.”

Jamerson echoes the same thought. “It has always been our goal to provide the most accessible healthcare to our community. As part of the Alliant Health Plans/HealthOne Alliance network, we are able to do just that. Now, there’s no need for patients to travel out of town to get the health services that they need.”
