On Feb. 15, Gordon Hospital and Murray Medical Centers leadership teams held a Community Service Day to serve both Gordon and Murray counties.

Our 93 volunteers served at Tolbert Elementary School, Prevent Child Abuse Gordon County, George Chambers Resource Center, John. L. Coble Elementary School, Calhoun Elementary School, Voluntary Action Center, Calhoun-Gordon County Library, Gordon Boys and Girls Club, Gordon Senior Center, Murray Senior Center, and Murray Boys and Girls Club.

Serving our communities, side-by-side for a common goal, is what we are meant to do, said Pete Weber, president and CEO of Gordon Hospital. While the nature of our daily work is service, community service days are a tremendous opportunity for us to extend our support beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics.
