Gordon Hospital Foundation board names new chair

Mike Davis has been named chair of the Gordon Hospital Foundation board.

Serving on the board since 2015, Davis has lived in North Georgia for 60 years. He is a retired educator and former superintendent of Calhoun City Schools, and in recent years, he has turned his hobby of woodworking into Docs Woodturning. His love for the community is his driving force in participating on Gordon Hospitals Foundation board.

Mike has a passion for the community, and he understands the significance of Gordon Hospitals role within the community, said Garrett Nudd, president of the Gordon Hospital Foundation. We are thrilled that Mike has stepped into this role, and we look forward to increasing the foundations scope and impact through his leadership.

I am honored to be chosen to chair the Gordon Hospital Foundation board, said Davis. It is an opportunity for me to give back to a community that has given me so much.

The Gordon Hospital Foundation board is a group of community members who are passionate about serving the community and giving back through the hospital. The foundation provides support for building projects, nursing and allied health scholarships, and a variety of events including the Foundation Golf Classic and the Run for your Life 5k and Children's Fun Run, which contribute to the hospitals mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ.
