Gordon Home Care is pleased to announce the induction of three employees into the “Best of the Best Club.”
According to Tracy Farriba, RN, director of Gordon Home Care, membership into this special club is reserved for Gordon Home Care employees who exhibit Gordon Hospital’s mission in providing the highest quality in patient care through their daily actions. The latest Gordon Home Care employees to be recognized are Neisha Brophy, Dixie Guess Ledford, and Lorie Vest.
“Gordon Home Care is very blessed to have these ladies on our team,” Farriba said.
Brophy, LPN, attended Dalton State College and has been employed by Gordon Hospital for two-and-a-half years. She and her husband, Brandon, have a son, Caden, 7. She enjoys photography, camping, and playing with her son.
“I love my job,” she said. “There is no greater feeling than when you can help someone and maybe make a difference in their lives.”
During a recent home care survey, Brophy was recognized as “one of the best wound care nurses,” Farriba said.
“Neisha is very dedicated to her team,” Farriba added. “She always goes the extra mile to help others and her smile lights up our office.”
Ledford, a physical therapy assistant, attended Georgia Northwestern Technical College, University of West Georgia, Dalton State College, and South College in Knoxville, Tenn. She is married to Larry Ledford and they reside in Sugar Valley. She is the daughter of Max and Dianne Guess, and is the sister of Tad Guess, and Chad and Jessica Guess. She enjoys shopping, spending time with family and friends, decorating, and gardening.
“It was a wonderful surprise to be voted ‘Best of the Best’ by my colleagues,” Ledford said. “It is my honor and privilege to work with such a great team of caring people.”
While Ledford has only been employed by Gordon Home Care for seven months, Farriba said that she has already earned her spot in the Best of the Best Club.
“Dixie has been a huge part of stabilizing our physical therapy department,” she explained. “In just a short seven months, her dedication and teamwork is apparent by all.”
Lorie Vest, CNA, has been employed by Gordon Hospital for 14 years. She has been married for 21 years to Barry Vest and they have two boys, Chandler, 19, and Landon, 11. They reside in Calhoun. She enjoys spending time with her family.
“It was very nice to be recognized,” Vest said. “We have a great crew of employees at Gordon Home Care.”
Farriba said that Vest has been with the agency ever since it started and is very deserving of the honor.
“Lori is dedicated to this agency and our hospital,” Farriba said. “The surveyors said that she is the ‘best they have ever seen’ and we all agree here at Gordon Home Care.”
